Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

AffiliateAutomation.app collects the following information when you use our service:

• Your email address (for account creation)
• Facebook Page and Instagram Business account access tokens (to post on your behalf)
• Videos you upload to our platform, including video frames and audio extracted from them
• Amazon Associate ID you provide
• Post history and engagement data from your connected accounts

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide the AffiliateAutomation.app service:

• Publishing videos to your Instagram and Facebook accounts
• Automatically responding to comments on your posts via Instagram Direct Message
• Identifying products in your videos using artificial intelligence (see Section 3)
• Generating Amazon affiliate links for your products
• Storing your post history so you can track performance

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. AI Processing of Your Content

AffiliateAutomation.app uses artificial intelligence to analyze the videos you upload. When you use the product detection feature:

• Video frames — still images extracted from your video are sent to OpenAI (GPT-4o) to identify the product shown
• Audio — the audio track of your video is sent to OpenAI (Whisper) to produce a text transcript
• Product names — the detected product name is sent to Brave Search to locate the matching Amazon listing

This content is processed by these providers under their own terms and privacy policies. We only send what is needed for the feature to work, and we do not use your content to train AI models. AI-generated results (product names, links, and captions) may be inaccurate — you can review and edit everything before posting.

4. Meta Permissions

Our app requests the following Meta permissions:

• instagram_content_publish — to post Reels to your Instagram account
• instagram_manage_comments — to monitor comments on your posts
• instagram_manage_messages — to send automated DMs when a user comments "SHOP"
• pages_manage_posts — to post videos to your Facebook Page
• pages_read_engagement — to read engagement data on your Facebook Page

These permissions are used only to operate the features described above. You can revoke access at any time through your Facebook Settings.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Videos are stored in Supabase Storage and are only accessible to your account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing hello@affiliateautomation.app. We will delete your account, access tokens, uploaded videos, and post history within 30 days.

7. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — for publishing content and messaging
• OpenAI (GPT-4o, Whisper) — for AI product detection and audio transcription
• Brave Search — for locating Amazon product listings
• Amazon Associates — for generating affiliate links
• Supabase — for database and file storage

Each service has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them.

8. Children's Privacy

AffiliateAutomation.app is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
